Peter Kennaugh retains u-23 title

Peter Kennaugh finished third in the British elite road race championship on Sunday but retained the under-23 title he won last year.

He was pipped at the line by surprise race winner Kristian House and second placed Dan Lloyd.

Mark Cavendish was sixth and Manx teenager Mark Christian 18th in his first national road race championship as a senior.
