Askin strikes gold

Floyd Askin has struck the Isle of Man’s first gold at the 13th NatWest Island Games in Aland.

He won the 100 kilogram and over in the judo.

There’s a gold, silver and bronze on the board thus far – all in the judo.

In the women’s 57kg and under, Rebecca Colquitt won the silver with Marvja Judkowska claiming the bronze.

Askin was delighted after his success.
