CoMin looks into TT losses at Villa

by isleofman.com 26th June 2009

Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says the Council of Ministers will be investigating why the TT entertainment at the Villa Marina this year lost more than ?100,000.

At the Chief Minister's press conference, Mr Gawne said a probe into the problems surrounding TT events had already been announced.

But, following the news in the Legislative Council this week that ?115,000 of taxpayers' money had been lost because of poor attendances at the Villa, he said that would form part of the study.

He says it's important not to repeat the mistakes during next year’s festival.
