Funeral of John Crellin

by isleofman.com 25th June 2009

The funeral of popular Manxman John Crellin will take place this lunchtime (Thursday).

Fifty-five year-old Mr Crellin died of multiple injuries in a crash during this year’s Senior TT.

Just a few hours earlier, he had been on the podium after a third place finish in the inaugural TTXGP race.

A keen mountaineer who climbed six of the world's highest peaks, he was a civil engineer with the Department of Transport's design services division.

A requiem mass will be held at St Mary’s Church in Douglas at 12 noon.
