Film industry soldiers on, despite recession

It's hoped around half a dozen productions will be filmed in the Island over the next 12 months.

Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney was speaking after it was revealed promoting the Island’s film industry at this year's film festival in Cannes cost around ?57,000.

Mr Cretney believes that represents good value for the return, but admits the global economic downturn has affected movie making opportunities:
