Digital review under way

The Communications Commission has begun a review of digital technologies, and how the Isle of Man can make the best use of them.

The commission, which regulates broadcasting and telecommunications in the Island, has engaged a firm of consultants who will be canvassing a wide range of opinion and producing a report.

After the report has been handed over, hopefully towards the end of the year, the whole subject will go out to public consultation.

Director of the commission Dr Carmel McLaughlin says it's important for the Island to find its own solutions, rather than following anyone else:
