The Isle of Man's very first Children’s Plan is being assessed by a wide range of interested parties, three days after it was made public.
It's been drawn up following consultation with young people, and tackles issues such as bullying, mental and sexual health, alcohol and obesity.
Education Minister Anne Craine says it's crucial for any child to have a happy and healthy environment.
She told Manx Radio:
"If we don't get that level of self esteem for young people, then there is really very little opportunity for them to succeed.
"I can't stress how important it is for young people to get a really valuable start to their lives, but they need support in order to be able to do that, so it's hugely important."
There will be an in-depth look at the Children’s Plan in today's Agenda, from 6.05pm.
