Value of trips abroad by politicians questioned

Should trips by members of Tynwald to countries around the world come under more scrutiny?

The question was raised on Manx Radio's Sunday Opinion, by retired businessman and builder Keith McCard.

Mr McCard said, in the light of the recent expenses debacle in the United Kingdom, more checks should be made to see if such trips represented value for money, and were of benefit to the Manx taxpayer:
