Good conditions expected for one of the events of the year

by isleofman.com 20th June 2009

After the monsoon conditions experienced by competitiors in 2008, good conditions were being predicted ahead of today's Clerical Medical Parish Walk.

The entry list has a record 1,620 names and, as usual, those wishing to complete the 85 mile trek around the Island's 17 parishes have 24 hours to do so.

Showers were forecast last night, but it should be dry today, with sunny intervals.

Parish walk race director Ray Cox told Manx Radio everything was looking good (play audio file):

Time and location for start of 2009 Clerical Medical Parish Walk: 8am, at the National Sports Centre.

There will be live coverage of the event on Manx Radio, throughout the day and into Sunday morning.
