Hot weather warning

Anybody who goes camping or has a barbecue this summer is being asked to think about fire safety.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service is warning that fine weather can lead to extra dangers, such as gorse and camper van fires, and careless barbecuing.

Even pitching a tent within six metres of another could result in disaster.

Fire officer Carl Kinvig says cigarettes can also be a major hazard on warm days:
