Woman settled account using friend's card

by isleofman.com 19th June 2009

A woman who took her friend's card details and used them to pay her rent online has been bailed by the high bailiff.

Kirsty Louise Quilliam, of Anagh Coar Road in Douglas, admitted stealing ?350 from Andrew Talbot.

The court heard Mr Turner noticed the money had been paid to Douglas Borough Council via the internet and called the police, telling them he suspected Quilliam was responsible.

Quilliam told officers she had been dating him and had taken the details when he was out of the room one time when they were together.

She said she was drunk at the time and it was a stupid thing to do.

Quilliam will appear again on July 7.
