by isleofman.com 18th June 2009

A building in Circular Road, Douglas which partially collapsed yesterday morning has been demolished.

Contractors JCK have been clearing the site, alongside Rose House, having begun the task of bringing the structure down yesterday afternoon.

The building, number 61, was a former news agents, which had been derelict for a number of years.

An emergency road closure order is due to expire this evening, but it's understood is may be extended, so the next property along, number 63, can also be demolished.
