It's D-Day for television!

After months of build up, the digital television switchover is finally here.

The Island's BBC2 analogue signal was due to be turned off overnight, to enable local residents to receive transmissions using the new technology.

The rest of the analogue channels will disappear on July 16.

A multitude of channels, also known as Freeview, will now be available to everyone in the Isle of Man via a set-top box, as Sarah Jane Gray of Digital UK explained to Edward Oldham:
