A total of over ?50,000 has been paid to members of the House of Keys and Legislative Council for mileage expenses during the past three years.
Details have emerged in a written answer to a Tynwald question, which shows a steady decline in sums claimed since 2006.
Over ?25,000 was claimed in the financial year 2006/07, compared with just over ?13,000 in 2008/09.
The member with the largest claim was Rushen MHK Quintin Gill, with over ?10,000 for the three years.
The lowest sum, just over ?180, is alongside the name of Onchan MHK Adrian Earnshaw.
