by isleofman.com 15th June 2009

The Chief Constable has praised one of his officers who won the top professional police honour from the Queen this weekend.

Superintendent Carolyn Kinrade has been awarded the Queen’s Police Medal after serving with the Manx constabulary for 30 years.

Chief Constable Mike Langdon says she’ll be the first member of the force below a chief officer rank to have been given the award.

And he says it’s a reflection of her hard work and dedication over the decades.
