TT accidents 'not as serious'

by isleofman.com 15th June 2009

Police say they believe figures for road accidents over the TT period this year will show an improvement in terms of their severity.

Only one fatality has been recorded on open roads in the last fortnight.

Inspector Richard Power says whilst the number of serious accidents remains 'alarmingly high', the degree injury hasn't been life threatening in 99 per cent of cases.

But he adds it's unfortunate there seemed to be a lot of accidents over the weekend.
