A Public Inquiry to investigate the status of footpaths on Langness peninsula is scheduled to take place on Monday 20th July 2009.
The Department of Transport has arranged the Inquiry following a motion approved by Tynwald in December last year.
The Inquiry, occasioned by a long-running dispute between landowner Jeremy Clarkson and action group PROWL, will take place at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club, beginning at 9.30am.
The Inquiry will be conducted by Roy Hickey, a founder member of the Institution of Public Rights of Way, who has more than 30 years’
experience of all aspects of Public Rights of Way and countryside access work throughout the UK.
Anyone who wishes to appear at the Inquiry should notify the Department as early as possible to allow for arrangements to be made.
