A government report which assesses the potential hazards of phone masts is a step forward but there’s still a long way to go.
That’s according to North Douglas MHK John Houghton who’s welcomed aspects of the report by a Council of Ministers working group investigating the safety implications of living near masts.
Although it concludes there’s 'generally no risk to health’, Mr Houghton says the issue must be continually monitored.
