Island ready to deal with swine flu

Health Minister Eddie Teare says the DHSS is as ready as it can be to cope with an outbreak of swine flu in the Isle of Man.

The first case in the Island was confirmed earlier this week after a returning traveller brought the disease back with them.

Mr Teare says the DHSS has contingency plans and supplies in place to deal with the illness during any outbreak.

He says staff are on their guard and is confident they are ready:
