Nicky Crowe transferred to UK hospital

Local sidecar racer Nicky Crowe is described as being in a stable condition but with serious injuries following a bad crash on the first lap of the Sidecar Two race on Wednesday evening.

However, he's now being transferred to the UK for further treatment, as is his passenger Mark Cox who is described as comfortable.

The race was red-flagged and later abandoned.

Travelling marshall James McBride, who came off his machine at Keppel Gate, is described as having serious injuries but being in a stable condition.

Japanese rider Yoshanari Matsushita, Gary Carswell and Dan Kneen, who all had spills during racing, are described as comfortable.
