A man who assaulted an ambulance supervisor has been remanded in custody by High Bailiff Michael Moyle, while reports are prepared.
Fifty-two year-old Christopher David Mather, of Snaefell Road in Willaston, was taken by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency department of Noble's Hospital, on December 19 last year.
The court heard he was highly intoxicated and when he stumbled, and almost fell over, the supervisor went to help him.
Mather lashed out at him, although he told police he remembered nothing at all of the incident.
A bail application was refused and Mather will appear in court again on June 30.
