Arrests after fire at boxing club

by isleofman.com 11th June 2009

Three youths have been arrested on suspicion of arson, following what police are calling 'the suspicious fire' which destroyed the premises of the Manx Amateur Boxing Club on Monday evening.

Police say a file has been prepared and a decision will be taken on whether they should face charges.

They say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

No one was hurt in the fire and officers from the Criminal Investigation Department are thanking members of the public who helped bring about a quick conclusion to their enquiries.

The boxing club's premises were in Castle Drive, Douglas.
