Police investigate promenade assault

A man needed treatment for a serious leg injury following an alleged assault in Douglas in the early hours of this morning.

It happened just before 3am, near Admiral House on Loch Promenade.

The 30 year-old from Barnsley was taken to Noble's Hospital.

Two people from Staffordshire have been arrested and are helping police with their enquiries.

Police say they believe it was an isolated incident and are asking anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
