DTL member thanks long-time TT fans for their support

Once the TT bug bites, you just keep coming back.

That's the view of a spectator who has been attending the races in the Isle of Man for nearly 50 years.

Michael Howells from Shropshire first visited back in 1962, and hasn't missed a TT or Manx Grand Prix since.

Yesterday, he was among a number of race fans to receive a TT Loyalty Award from the Department of Tourism and Leisure.

DTL political member Geoff Corkish, MHK, told the group motorsport on the Island wouldn't have survived without such dedication.

Michael says the whole experience keeps getting better and better:
