Open roads warning to TT riders

by isleofman.com 8th June 2009

Police are vowing to get tough with anybody caught testing racing machines on open roads in the Isle of Man.

It follows suggestions in the past few days that TT competitors have been riding bikes at high speed in such circumstances.

Police say the practice is illegal because the bikes aren't registered to be used in normal traffic.

They are warning that culprits could end up losing their licences and remind bikers that any penalties imposed on the Island also count in the United Kingdom.
