The Mountain Road was closed on four separate occasions on Sunday, while officers dealt with a number of road traffic accidents.
There were other accidents near the Fairy Bridge, at Bulgham Rocks on the Laxey to Ramsey coast road, and at Quarry Bends, which led to further closures.
Inspector Richard Power says it's disappointing there were so many accidents, although he adds thankfully none of them was serious.
