County council seat for former Island resident

A former Isle of Man resident has been elected a county councillor in the Tavistock ward of Devon.

Deborah Sellis, whose mother Chris Bentley lives in Port St Mary, is the new Conservative candidate.

A former staff nurse at Noble’s Hospital, she topped the poll.

Devon County Council is currently controlled by the Liberal Democrats.
