Australian Cameron Donald unofficially became the fastest man in TT history in an extraordinary practice session for Saturday's Dainese Superbike race.
In perfect conditions this evening, the Relentless Suzuki rider went round the course in 17 minutes, 13.25 seconds, an average speed of 131.457mph.
Fellow Antipodean and Suzuki team mate Bruce Anstey, from New Zealand, was second fastest on the night, lapping at 130.129 miles an hour. Ian Hutchinson was third, at 129.027mph.
Official absolute lap record holder John McGuinness recorded the second fastest practice lap of the week, at 130.171mph, on Wednesday evening.
The official lap record stands at 130.354mph.
The practice session for sidecars, which followed the solos, was cut short by a large oil spillage, from Bray Hill to Quarterbridge.
