by isleofman.com 4th June 2009

A motorcyclist was in Noble's Hospital in a critical condition today, after his machine was involved in a head-on collision with a car last night.

The Yamaha machine was heading towards Ballasalla when the accident happened, at Cross Four Ways, at about 8.45pm.

The driver of the car received minor injuries.

The road between Cross Four Ways and Ballasalla was closed until 12.15am while investigations were carried out.

Police are appealing for witnesses and would particularly like to speak to two people who are believed to have been standing at Cross Four Ways when the bike went through the junction.

The number to ring if you have information is 631212.
