Commercial income from TT continues to rise

Commercial revenue generated by the TT has increased for the third year running.

Windsor based Signature Sponsorship says the gross sum achieved for TT 2009 is around ?500,000 - which it sees as a good result in the current challenging economic climate.

About ?350,000 will go to the Department of Tourism and Leisure, as the main organiser of the event, with operational costs accounting for much of the difference between the two figures.

Signature's commercial manager for the TT, Tony Greer, says the increase on last year is about six per cent:
