Cocaine offender spared immediate custody

by isleofman.com 1st June 2009

A 35 year-old woman who possessed five wraps of cocaine has been given a four month prison sentence, suspended for two years, by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.

Helen Rollison, of Oak Avenue in Pulrose, appeared for sentence.

The defendant was arrested on the evening of February 24, after being stopped by police in Pulrose Road.

The wraps were found in the footwell of her car and she told police they were for her own use.

Her advocate said the defendant, who had no previous convictions, immediately admitted her guilt.

She had paid ?230 for the drugs which Mr Moyle said would have been better spent on her family.

He also imposed a two year supervision order.
