Dog owners in Douglas are being reminded not to take their dogs on the beach between 10am and 6pm.
Bye laws brought into force last year restrict the activity during these times, from May 1 to September 30.
Anyone caught breaking the laws will be issued with a fixed penalty notice, and could be fined up to ?1,000.
Bye law officer Neil Cringle hopes signs around the beaches will remind people of the new rules (play audio file):
In previous years, dog walking has been banned completely on Douglas beach during the summer months.
