Royal Navy Warship HMS Ramsey arrived in Douglas this morning (Thursday) for a five-day visit to the Isle of Man.

The 600d tonne mine hunter, which is affiliated with Ramsey, will host children from local schools, the Isle of Man Sea Cadets and Ramsey Commissioners' chairman Sylvia Beattie.

The ship's crew, which includes one officer originally from Ramsey, will have the opportunity to visit their namesake.

Commanding Officer of the vessel, Lieutenant Commander Sarah West, is planning on sampling the TT atmosphere.
