by isleofman.com 27th May 2009

Two Douglas men injured in a violent incident in Douglas last night were still in Noble's hospital under police guard this afternoon.

It's thought to have happened at 30 Castlemona Avenue at around 10.15pm and those involved, a 26 year-old and a 34 year-old, were treated for serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Inspector Kevin Willson says the incident is believed to have been between the two men, and there was no risk to the wider public (play audio file):

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a man leaving the address in Castle Mona Avenue in a small silver car, shortly after 10:15pm yesterday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police headquarters on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
