Brendan Harper, Technical Services Manager at Friends Provident International in the Isle of Man, has been recognised for Outstanding Services to the Offshore Industry at the 10th Anniversary International Investment Fund & Product Awards, held at the Brewery in London.

Brendan, (pictured centre) has been with FPI for over 11 years and has more than 15 years' financial services industry experience. He received the award from Mike Hemming, Chairman of Spence Johnson (left) and Simon Evans of Compare.

Describing Brendan as someone who had the respect of his industry peers, the judging panel highlighted the role he has played in improving advisers' knowledge of offshore investments over the past 10 years, through appearances in publications and at conferences and seminars.

Commenting on the accolade, Jonathan Hall, General Manager at the Castletown-based Company, said 'This is a very prestigious award and I’m delighted Brendan’s been recognised for his commitment and hard work.  It’s also a testament to the high level of technical support that FPI provides to financial advisers.

'Brendan is a well recognised and respected figure within our industry.  Not only is he in demand as a speaker at industry-wide conferences but he has also represented the industry in discussions with tax authorities and the European Union.

'He is certainly a very worthy winner.'
