by isleofman.com 23rd May 2009

The owner of a boat in Peel says Manx Radio and a chance encounter led to them helping a group of Bradford University students on a charity quest.

The team, calling themselves "No Sleep 'Til Douglas", had to get as far away from their student union as possible, in 24 hours, without using their own money while also trying to be as eco-friendly as possible.

Marlyn Bowie operates Manx Sea Quest, a pleasure craft which sails out of Peel.

The students have now returned to Bradford and thanks to the generosity of what they call the 'great Manx community' have raised ?326.
