Defendants sentenced in unlawful wounding case

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2009

A man has been jailed for three years after unlawfully wounding two other men.

Twenty-six year-old Christopher Scatchard, of no fixed abode, was sentenced today following an incident at a house in Oak Avenue, Pulrose, on April 18 last year.

An earlier court had heard Scatchard didn't remember the incident, but accepted he was responsible for the stab wounds suffered by his victims, Christopher Crellin and Andrew Yewdall.

Thirty year-old Michelle McBurnie, who admitted assisting Scatchard by concealing him in her home and laundering his clothes, was given a four months suspended sentence.
