Man fined after public row with his wife

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2009

A 47 year-old takeaway owner who hurled abuse at his wife in front of their staff has been fined ?500 by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.

Hamed Kilic, of Bucks Road in Douglas, admitted a charge of provoking behaviour.

Police were called to Pizza King on Queen's Promenade at 4.30am on April 14, after Kilic started to argue with his wife in front of staff, who at one point had to push him away from her.

His advocate said Kilic was shocked at his actions and had offered to go to anger management and domestic abuse classes.

Mr Moyle encouraged him to pursue those options.
