by isleofman.com 20th May 2009

St. George's have retained their Sure Mobile Premier League title.

The side won the very last game of the campaign against Old Boys 6-1 to move ahead of Peel by just one point.

Chris Melly scored two with other goals from James McStay, Callum Morrisey, Chris Bass Junior and Conor Doyle. Gary Quirk netted a consolation for the visitors.

The trophy was presented to the Geordies squad at their Glencrutchery Road home to kick-off the celebrations.

St. George's Manager Chris Bass Senior was delighted with the performance on the night....but has his eyes on yet more success:-
