Kaupthing depositors have cast their votes

Voting on the Manx government's proposed Scheme of Arrangement for depositors with Kaupthing bank has now concluded.

The process, at the Villa Marina, was slow to get started, following what was described as "a late rush of proxy votes".

But it didn't take long to complete, and those involved will now have to wait until the end of the week to see whether they have supported the scheme.

An alternative is the possible liquidation of the failed Icelandic bank.
