Kaupthing depositors will have to wait until the end of the week to see which way today's vote at the Villa Marina in Douglas has gone.
They are choosing between the Manx government’s scheme of arrangement and possible liquidation of the failed Icelandic bank.
Those who gathered at the Villa this morning were told there had been "a late rush of proxy votes", which resulted in the meeting starting later than advertised. The registration of depositors and others present added to the delay.
The meeting was told that after going through the votes "for a couple of days" it was likely to be the end of the week before the result could be publicised.
At lunchtime today, voting in the three separate categories of depositor was underway.
Observers and members of the press were allowed to remain and watch proceedings after no objections were offered by depositors.
