by isleofman.com 19th May 2009

A high school head teacher who's been suspended since September will leave her post at the end of the month.

Education Minister Anne Craine made the announcement during Tynwald questions today that Maria Tomaszewska had handed in her resignation.

She was suspended while an investigation took place at Castle Rushen into the running of the school.

There was no word from the minister as to whether this investigation has been concluded or not.

Following her statement Mrs Craine said she wouldn't give any more information or answer any more questions on the matter but still faced a couple of supplementaries, including this one from Michael MHK David Cannan: (audio clip attached)
