The chief constable is warning reckless behaviour will not be tolerated on the Island's roads during TT 2009.
Mike Langdon says it's the busiest time of year for his officers and is appealing to road users to make their jobs as easy as possible.
This year's TT road safety campaign, launched yesterday, features photographs taken at the scenes of serious accidents involving motorbikes.
Mr Langdon says officers will be tough with anyone caught breaking traffic laws.
He told Manx Radio:
"This year we are absolutely determined that we will be rigorous with people who are reckless.
"The people that are driving and riding in '30 miles an hours' that are just going above the speed limit are probably the same people that are being reckless in derestricted areas.
"So what we're concentratng on is the individual, as opposed to what's actually happening and what the circumstances of a particular offence are."
