Onchan Commissioners are reminding local residents of their legal obligations in relation to hedges.

Under the 1996 Highways Act, any which are causing any sort of obstruction to a road, lane or footpath must be trimmed.

The local authority says it's important to make sure pedestrians and vehicles can pass freely.
