Dot's wish is granted after 25 years!

The outgoing Mayor of Douglas and her husband have renewed their wedding vows, to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary.

Dot and Stephen Pitts walked down the aisle for the second time, in St George's Church at lunchtime today.

Stephen, a member of Douglas Borough Council, had been planning the ceremony in secret for months and only told his wife about it at the weekend, as her year as mayor was coming to an end.

Dot says she has been waiting for such an occasion for twenty-five years:
