JourneyMatch scheme - Mandate interview

Three months after the launch of Isle of Man JourneyMatch scheme, those behind the initiative say the take-up has been encouraging.

The aim is to reduce the number of vehicles on the Island's roads each morning by encouraging people to share lifts to work, and it's hoped more Island residents with similar journeys will look into the idea.

On Mandate at One today, the energy initiatives officer for the Department of Local Government and the Environment, Peter Longworth, said it was early days, but so far there had been a good response (play extended audio file):
