Traffic worries to be raised in Tynwald

The two MHKs for North Douglas believe the amount of traffic in Governor's Hill is a potential danger to their constituents.

Bill Henderson and John Houghton say they are bringing the matter before next week's sitting of Tynwald after a number of complaints to the Department of Transport haven't solved the problem.

One of their main worries is the number of motorists using Hailwood Avenue as a shortcut between Johnny Watterson's Lane and Bemahague Road.

And Mr Henderson believes the disused crossing between the Pumpkin Patch Nursery and Cronk-y-Berry School could pose a risk to children in the area:
