Isle of Man Squash: Junior Elite News

The Junior Elite 2009 will be run as a Swiss system event for the top 16 players, as determined by the junior rankings at the end of April 2009. The immediate past winner of this event is not eligible.

 

All matches are to the best of 5 games, Point-a-Rally (PAR) scoring to 11 points. Where possible, matches may be played during the weekend training sessions or the Tuesday squad sessions. Otherwise, players must arrange their own matches.

 

All results should be reported to Gary Crease as soon as possible. Following the completion of each round, the updated draw sheet will be posted on the notice boards at the NSC and at Onchan Squash Club.

 

All first and second round matches should be completed by 31 May. All final round matches will be played on Thursday evening 25 June 2009 at Onchan Squash Club followed by the presentation.

 

Forthcoming Events

 

Monday 18th – Friday 22nd May: - The 2009 Island Open Squash Championship, sponsored by Trident Trust, will be held at Onchan Squash Club. Entry Fees are ?10 per person (IoM-SRA members); ?15 per person (Non IoM-SRA members); Juniors ?5. The closing date for entries is 5pm, Friday 15th May as the draw will be made on Saturday 16th May.

 

Saturday 23rd May: - Annual Dinner, Prize-giving and Dance to be held at the Mount Murray Golf Clubhouse. This year the Charity Ball will have an Austin Powers theme, with Black Tie or Austin Powers attire expected.

 

Monday 15th June: - IoM-SRA Annual General Meeting, to be held at Onchan Squash Club commencing at 7:30pm. All Squash players are invited to attend.
