An MHK wants a study into the circumstances behind last year's temporary closure of part of the Manx Electric Railway to be debated.
North Douglas member Bill Henderson wants the Tomlinson Report to be examined either in Tynwald or the House of Keys.
The document looks into the background of the decision of the then Tourism Minister Adrian Earnshaw, and suggests there should have been more in-house consultation before the shutdown went ahead.
Mr Henderson believes further scrutiny is needed and told Manx Radio:
"We should have a chance to debate it now, because at the emergency question last year obviously a lot of members were very concerned and this time round we've had a 'laid before' document, which means no debate.
"I think a value for money exercise wouldn't go amiss. The trouble is we are relying on specialists here, and really auditing what they are saying and what they are actually doing wouldn't go amiss in any arm of government because, in the past, we've been too reliant on specialist advice."
