MHK allays pension concerns

by isleofman.com 13th May 2009

There is reassurance for worried pensioners in South Douglas today.

Anagh Coar Post Office will be closed tomorrow and Friday because of the refurbishment of the Spar store in which it's based, and there has been concern residents could miss out on pensions and other benefits.

However, South Douglas MHK David Cretney says help is at hand (play audio file):

Isle of Man Post is apologising to customers for any inconvenience.

Anyone wishing to cash benefits and pensions due on Friday who can't get to Anagh Coar today, can use any post office, the nearest being at Pulrose and Saddlestone Stores in Ballaughton Lane.
